On the nature of growing plants: Unfortunately we can't guarantee that your seeds will grow. That's down to where and when they are planted, how they are looked after and to an extent, a dose of luck! If you have green fingers you'll know how to start your seeds off already. For those of us still learning you'll receive some information about how to give your seeds the best chance.
Take a look here for some advice on growing your seeds.
Warning: Not to be taken. Do not, under any circumstances, consume the seeds, or any plant that grows of them, purchased on this website. They are for educational and decorative purposes only. Background
There are estimated to be around 400,000 species of terrestrial plants on earth and approximately 35,500 of these have medicinal uses. Archaeological excavations dated as early as 60,000 years ago have found remains of medicinal plants such as Opium Poppy. One of the oldest written records on medicinal plants, dated 1500 B.C., is the Egyptian Ebers Papyrus although there are those that are older.
Knowledge gained through trial and error and eventually an understanding of the chemical compounds within various plants underpins modern pharmacy. It is estimated that around 40% of modern medicines are thought to be derived from natural origins while a study from 2002 found that 11 percent of the 252 drugs considered essential by the World Health Organisation are exclusively derived from flowering plants.
If you are interested in medicines and pharmacy you may not know it but you are interested in plants.

Unfortunately we can't offer a refund if your seeds don't germinate. It is estimated that it took around 2.5 billion years for photosynthesis to begin on earth and another 1.1 billion before we saw anything we'd recognise as a plant. There are many interrelated factors affecting whether a seed will germinate. Give it your best shot, relax, enjoy the journey.
